These are the best company outings in the Netherlands (in our opinion)

Hard work does happen. But that extra bit of effort at work only really happens if you also enjoy it. That is why the atmosphere in the workplace is very important. But... how do you do that? One of the answers: company outings/team outings. And then really only the nice ones.

Planning a company outing is a small task. Setting a date is the hardest part, and then you also have to do that activity. We take action on the latter. Here it comes: a list of company outings that will certainly ensure a fun day.

Chocolate makers tour

Chocolate makers tour

Chocolate contributes to happiness, right? That's why it's such a good idea for a company outing. During the (company) outing you will visit the factory Chocolate makers. The location is easily accessible, because it is less than a fifteen-minute walk from Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. You will get a tour of the factory: from start to finish they show you how Chocolatemakers' chocolate is made. This company opts for a sustainable approach, because the beans are delivered by sailboat (zero emissions!), and there are also organized bicycle tours that transport the chocolate bars throughout the country. In addition to first receiving background information about the work ideology, you will then learn more about the chocolate making process. This is done through the use of the senses: touch, smell and taste. And speaking of tasting; at the end of the tour it is time to roll up your sleeves. And of course a chocolate tasting, because that's what we came for, right?

Wine tasting Chateau

You settle down in a funky one Winebar, and finally time to really have a good chat with your colleagues, and that too with a (different) glass of wine every time. Bee Chateau Amsterdam it is possible to come with a large group (or a small one of course) to participate in the urban wine tasting. During this tour you will search and discover what suits you honeycomb wine is.

The wine tasting is 3 euros per person, and then you get a tour and a tasting of five glasses of Chateau Amsterdam wines.

Karaoke and games at The All Out

Karaoke and games at The All Out

The All Out in Amsterdam takes your team outing to the next level extravagance. This colorful adult playground on the Europaboulevard offers everything from darts and shuffleboards to karaoke and nostalgic shuffleboard. Here you have everything but a boring office drink, you can sing your manager's ears to pieces or show your competitive side with a game of darts. Not a games fanatic? Then order a cocktail with a selfie printed on it for your favorite colleague, with your own face adorning the foam. What's not to like?

The Hearth

The Hearth

How about stoke a fire together and cook the most delicious dishes on it? Love goes through the stomach, so bonding with your colleagues over a good meal is in our opinion a fantastic (if not the best) way of team building. Add to that an activity such as chopping wood, making fire and controlling the fire and you have a great team outing. The Hearth in De Bilt offers various workshops in cooking on an open fire and asado BBQs for small and large groups. The fact is that we slow down and relax by spending time in nature and the result is that we think more creatively. Win, win! Exactly what you want when you go out with the team. Oh, and there is also a bit of enjoyment, because everything you prepare over a fire is delicious: flavors become deeper, more intense and the structures more interesting. We are crazy about it.

Wilderlust

Wilderlust

Nice to dig around with your feet in the earth, the sun on your head and your hands rolled up. Get out of that office, let's start the real work. Bee Wilderlust you can go on a wild picking walk with your team. This means that you walk through the Rembrandt Park or Flevo Park with a guide. This walk teaches you about what grows around you, such as medicinal or edible plants, different types of trees, flowers, nuts: you name it. All in all, a very educational experience and great outdoors. Big win.

The walk can take between two and five hours, and after the walk there will be lunch ready, so that you can have a relaxing chat with your team after the walk.

(night) forest walk with a forester

(night) forest walk with a forester

No one has ever said they don't love nature. Soooo… off, out the door with the whole team and towards the forest. With the ranger, so extra fun. With different types of walking routes dagjeindenatuur.nl enough selection for everyone. Are you more interested in spotting animals, or are you looking for some flora? The possibilities are endless. Highly recommended to do this, because you can get some fresh air. And perhaps that fresh nature will bring new ideas that can be used later in the workplace. Who knows.

Drag queen bingo

Drag queen bingo

Laughing, screeching, roaring and screaming at the Queen's Head in Amsterdam. There is one every Tuesday Drag Queen Bingo in this cafe. This is where you want to go if you really want to see your colleagues out of that formal setting. The Drag Queens make the traditional Dutch game (let's be honest, we don't immediately warm up from a game of bingo) a joy to play. There won't be a second where it will be boring either. And therefore not a second without it big smile to have on your face.

Karaoke bar (duke or tokyo)

Karaoke bar (duke or tokyo)

A real icebreaker has to be karaoke. Run to the Karaoke bar Duke of Tokyo then! Enjoy dancing and singing your lungs out. It is no small feat to expose yourself completely, but there is a good chance that you will have a really fun evening and also go home with an improved team atmosphere. If you think, well, I don't have to put myself on stage in front of everyone, then Duke of Tokyo also has an excellent solution for that. You can book your own private room here, which will immediately make it a lot more relaxing. Only your colleagues are snoopers, then that's fine.

concert/festival (Friends of Amstel)

concert/festival (Friends of Amstel)

It's a long-term plan, but then you really have one bang of a team outing. There's a good chance that the entire team will flock to you if you reveal the activity. How much fun is it to jump and dance with your colleagues all day long? Let's put it this way, you only really get to know someone well when you go to a festival together. That's what we think.

If we can make a suggestion (we were going to anyway), go to Friends of Amstel Live. Everyone who goes here will sway and laugh along to the oh-so-famous songs all evening long. Just good vibes here.

street food tour

street food tour

A street food tour is a fun, but also tasty way to chat with your colleagues outside working hours and to eat delicious food. Handy too, because if work-related conversations go awry, you can always talk about the new dishes that are featured during the street food tour. And so the ball starts rolling, because eventually the anecdotes are actually on the table.
