Benriach: a whiskey for the enthusiast

You either love it or you don't; whiskey. If you don't mind a good whisky, we have one on the shelf that is worth trying. In fact, not one but several whiskeys and these can only be from one brand: Benriach. A Scotch Single Malt whiskey brewed in Scotland and what makes it so special is mainly due to the place where it all happens. The Benriach Distillery, located in the north of beautiful Speyside in Scotland, has a distinctive and tasty portfolio of Single Malts. In 2021, a new range with a completely new look was launched here, inspired by the creative composition of the Scotch Single Malt whisky. And yes, we have tried them all. We went on a journey of discovery and experienced the diversity and versatility of Benriach during the 'Benriach; a world of flavor experience'. A unique experience in collaboration with 'Diner in Motion' where all senses were stimulated.

About the Benriach Distillery

About the Benriach Distillery

A Speyside Scotch Single Malt Whiskey as intriguing as Benriach cannot exist without a unique whiskey heritage, which has been there since 1898. Since its inception in 1898 flavor in other words, the unique taste is central. Available in a smoky and non-smoky variant, the Single Malts are aged between 10 and 12 years. Founder John Duff traveled around the world learning a lot about taste. He learned the influence of different types of wood and ripening times and started experimenting with it. This brought out special flavor creations that you can still taste in the whiskey today. What is unique about this is that all variants are matured in 3 barrels, which gives you that deep, delicious Scotch Single Malt taste. Benriach stands on the site of the old Riach farm in north Speyside and draws water from a mineral-rich aquifer deep beneath the distillery. Read more below.

Benriach a world of flavour

Experimenting with taste is woven into the DNA of Benriach and stems from the spirit of discovery of founder John Duff. Today we see this in every Scotch Single Malt whisky. The recently updated range perfectly combines the old traditions and new innovations that are central to the Benriach story. With the new range we go back in time to the very first Benriach single malt that was released more than twenty years ago. The rich color palette of the portfolio and the design of the bottle are inspired by the natural environment of Speyside, Scotland, in which the distillery is located. Inspired by the 1994 bottling of the Original Ten, with its fruity complexity and soft, round taste, the new range revives Benriach's origins from 1898.

What do you drink Benriach with?

What do you drink Benriach with?

What do we prefer to drink the Scotch Single Malt Benriach whiskey with? It goes well with dark chocolate (we love chocolate anyway) and chocolate and whiskey really complement each other. Another food pairing is, for example, with a cheese board. And if you are organizing a dinner party, a grilled steak also goes well with the smoky taste of the whisky.  For example, you serve it for dessert a nice aapple crumble. This dessert goes well with lightly scented whiskey with a hint of sweetness.
