The best places to have a drink in Tilburg

It should no longer be a secret that we at Barts Boekje love fine drinks. But where in Tilburg should you go for a good glass of wine or a beer and a tasty snack? These are the best places to have a drink in Tilburg.

Craving

Craving

Tilburg has another new place to drink, and what a great one! Where Bargús used to be (yes, one of our favorites too), you can now go to CravingA new addition to the Dwaalgebied that immediately feels as if it has always been there.

The bar combines the cozy atmosphere of a traditional Dutch pub with a modern twist. Enjoy a good glass of wine or craft beer and order snacks from local favorites, such as cheese from Fromagerie Guillaume and meatballs from Slagerij LeJeune. The atmosphere is relaxed: perfect for a get-together where you might secretly linger longer than planned.

BLACK

BLACK

The corner around Bargús is located BLACK, a café that has been in this location since 1977. A few years ago, the café was taken over and given a makeover, but NOIR remains just as popular with Tilburg residents.

The small (covered) outdoor terrace is always packed, even in winter, and the reason is obvious: an extensive drinks and bites menu, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Visiting for lunch? Order the grilled cheese sandwich with homemade tosti sauce; a truly iconic classic.

You will find wine bar on Piusplein wineHere you can enjoy fine wines and order small snacks and dishes that are a little more special than your average bitterbal. What should you consider? Well, for example, langoustine with garlic butter or duck liver with fig, pear, balsamic vinegar, and speculaas.

Also fun: every last Sunday of the month Vine organizes a boozy brunch. Unlimited mimosas and tasty dishes for a nice price. Doing!

LOC Brewery

LOC Brewery

At LOC Brewery We've been hanging out with a beer on the terrace or at the tap, uh, bar, for a while now. But with a slight change to the menu, it's become a city favorite. A big shout-out to chef Danny Grimminck, who's managed to ensure that LOC Brewery isn't just known as a brewpub for much longer. We've known for a long time that the beer tastes good. But Danny proves here that beer doesn't just go well with something fried.

With seasonal shared dining recipes, some stunning main courses, and the addition of desserts, LOC took a new direction. And we're definitely on board with that. We were blown away by the vegetarian 'Nasu Dengaku,' a buttery eggplant paired with umami, sweet miso, cucumber, pickled chili oil, and vinegar. We thought it tasted great with an IPA or a wheat beer. And yes, with the small tasting glasses, you can try several with your dish.
