Breeze takes you on a date, but where to?
Breeze, maybe you know the app. It is the dating app of the moment. Why? You don't have to text endlessly; this app just plans a safe date for you (after you've been matched of course) But where are you going to meet? Breeze will also arrange all that for you. Here is a list of some fun date spots where you could possibly end up on your first date.
What's the point of this list anyway? The date spot has already been chosen for you, right? Well, here are two good reasons why this list can be useful. First of all, it's quite nerve-racking not knowing where you'll end up on your date, so this might give you a bit of a peace of mind. Second, no date with Breeze? Then use these places to go on dates, because that is what they have been specially chosen for. Of course also nice for a second date spot if that first date with Breeze was such a success. We hope so.
- Five Brothers Fat – One with multiple locations in South, West and Haarlem. And it's delicious at every location. And what exactly? Cava! Of bites in a Spanish atmosphere.
- Mi-Ami – To stay in the Spanish atmosphere: Mi-Ami, a Spanish street food restaurant. This time no cava but cocktails. Think patatas bravas, manchego, paella, and creamy aioli. Yes please! Great for tapas with your cocktail or a complete dinner.
- Poppies – In South on the Heemstedestraat or in the cozy Pijp, it doesn't matter which one you choose, because both are delicious. You can come here for a delicious cocktail, or shared fine dining. The atmosphere here is also nice and casual.
- Bar Botanique – A cocktail bar where you can always go, from early in the morning to late at night. The late hours are especially enjoyable. This Café Tropique serves all kinds of drinks: beer, wine, sangria and cocktails. Are you going for a Tropical Old Fashioned or Punch Tropique? You're always in the right place at Bar Botanique.
Spargo is now located on Linnaeusstraat, where Spargo once was Café de Youth from Tapperij the Eternal Youth; the place to have drinks, play games and karaoke for hours. From the karaoke cellar, called the Gluiperd in Café Nol atmosphere, to darts in the Lellebel. Perfect for a date night as there is plenty to do.
It feels like your grandpa and grandma's living room with a good hipster touch. In the summer there is also a nice terrace and inside you stumble across one cozy corner after another. The shop consists of four parts, all with their own atmosphere based on the different types of beers from the Eternal Youth. Lellebel anyone?
- Bergweg station – Bergweg Station is not a standard food hall (they already have that in Rotterdam) with only tasty food stands, but is also a creative breeding ground. Tip from Flip: hop past all the tents and choose a small dish everywhere. This way you can put together your own tasting here.
- Ship 11 – This is a unique date spot. This British Gastro-pub is located in a large red lightship where you can enjoy typical British pub dishes and live music.
- Charlies Coffee and Wine Bar – It seems like a crazy combination at first glance, but it is the match made in heaven that you didn't know you needed. Here you can enjoy a good glass of wine or a cup of coffee, with the appropriate French bistro snacks.
- Barlou – A place that is super atmospheric and classic and is perfect for delicious bites to share. Think of camembert from the oven, bao buns and kimchi croquettes. Ideal for a date.
A wonderful wine bar with wines from our own imports or from a collaboration with small wine growers. They attach great importance to respect for nature, and that is noticeable. The wines are almost all organic, making it the perfect place to enjoy natural wine. If your date is not a fan of wine, they also have beers, cocktails and soft drinks, as well as some suitable snacks such as French/Swiss cheese fondue and charcuterie. On Friday and Saturday they have a focaccia special. Yum!
The interior can be described as robust, but with colorful details. We approve. In addition to having a drink there, you can also take a bottle of wine with you at home, if the evening is very pleasant, or for the second date of course. A good way to gauge whether your date is also open to this. Wink.

- MOSS – At MOOS it is perfect for an evening for two. Because sharing is central here. A solid beer list, 'always good' snacks such as bitterballen and nachos, well-stocked snack boards – all for sharing. Just romantic and cozy.
- Twenty Utrecht – Another ideal place for a drink. A drinks menu that you can order throughout the day. We love that! So it doesn't matter what kind of mood you and your date are in. Dinner, a small snack, beer, cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic or just a nice cup of coffee, it's all possible here.
You will find the neighborhood café in the middle of the Vogelenbuurt At Guusjes. Guus (not really from Guus, but hey, Barts Boekje isn't really from Bart either) serves burgers and beer – they go hand in hand. In winter you can sit inside at one of the vintage tables and in the middle of summer this is a tent where you can have a nice drink on the terrace.
Beer lover? Then order the beer tasting with five beers to taste, including a short explanation about the beers and some background information. Beers come with a tasty snack platter. Please note: only to be ordered in the afternoon between 14.00:17.00 and 20.30:XNUMX or after XNUMX:XNUMX.
- Bar Copa – This really is an authentic Spanish drinks bar in the heart of Breda. Located in one of the oldest buildings in the center and also with a terrace. So, if the weather is nice you can stay here until the late evening hours, with a bottle of Spanish wine or a jug of sangria.
- Brewery Frontaal – A beer brewery with its own beers close to the center and central station, so very easily accessible. Here you can also do a small beer tasting for a small price (17,50 euros per person for 4 tasting glasses).
- cafe noir – This is a nice place for a lunch date. You come in here for a good cup of coffee. But secretly you can also just sit here after lunch, because they also have plenty of choice for drinks or dinner. fingers crossed that the date is so much fun that you have to stay seated.
One thing is certain: you will Popocatepetl not quickly forgotten. Because of the name, but also certainly because of the interior with bright colors. So a second date here may be necessary to try everything on the Mexican menu. From large nacho bowls (to share), fajitas to a delicious Mexican mixed grill with all kinds of different cuts of meat on it. Oh yes, and the Side here are also great like Mexican street corn with chipotle mayo.
Fun fact for your date: the restaurant is named after the Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico. If you dare to say it!
- Workwarehouse – A small warning: you enter a nice oasis of pink. Is that bad? No, not at all. Just let your eyes adjust for a moment, and then the Werkwarenhuis is a very chill place. Not only can you go here for a nice drink, but there are also regular creative pop-ups and events. Look up the website in advance what is happening at the moment.
- Foodbar & Beers tap – Tappunt's mission is to connect. Hopefully they can do the same for you and your date. The place to drink beer, but the flammkuchen are also great if you're hungry.
Formerly a cookie factory, now a cultural meeting place. The restaurant of The Verkade factory, and you can go there for, well, basically anything. From a cup of coffee in the morning to lunch, drinks and dinner. Super easy, because you can go there at any time of the day, or you can just sit there all day, which is of course also possible. And do they only sell cookies here? You don't have to be afraid of that. They prepare the tastiest dishes for you with all the love.
Oh yes, and if we may give a tip: every Sunday you can go to the Verkadefabriek for a movie breakfast. Then you combine a classic cinema date with an extensive breakfast beforehand. Super fun, right?
