Amsterdam North is flourishing and Cafe Modern is one of the gems to which the district owes its increasingly positive reporting. The cafe, or rather the restaurant, is from the creators of Hotel de Goudfazant, a little further in Noord, just like Cafe Modern, a restaurant, not a hotel. The restaurant is located in an old bank building, but inside it feels like a canteen, a very handsome canteen with set tables and Heineken green paneling. You can eat a four-course menu for just 40 euros. 4 courses! You can order an excellent cheese board to share for 11 euros. Modern
