Café Restaurant Meyer, Amsterdam: from breakfast to dinner
Whether we like it or not, people are creatures of habit. Trying new places is fun, but if something's good, we're happy to come back 100 times. Café Restaurant Meyer on the Amstelveld will be just such a place. Open seven days a week, from nine in the morning until late at night: breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and more. Oh yes, and the best part: they have a large, sunny terrace in the heart of the city—wonderful now that spring is here.
That large, sunny terrace is immediately noticeable. And it was already noticeable when it was still Nel. For the attentive viewer: Nel is ..., Meyer is . The terrace atmosphere is reminiscent of the Plantage, and we love the Plantage! Back to Meyer, no fuss, comfortable seating, good coffee, plenty of wine on the menu, and a menu featuring familiar classics. We went for two glasses of Barbera and the coppa. A small tasting, but it will soon be a big one!
And finally: kudos to the staff. Very friendly, very attentive. Exclamation mark. Conclusion? We are very happy with this new addition to the Amstelveld.
