(Once again) good news from Amsterdam-Noord: above four merged buildings from 1925, where a machine factory once stood, in the Hamerkwartier, there is now Cafe Forward - of the people behind Skate cafeVia a steep staircase (heels are welcome), you enter a huge, yet surprisingly cozy, traditional pub with four rooms. In the first room—the bar area—you'll find foosball, darts, art, and cozy seating areas with rugs and candles for drinks. In the two rooms after that, the English chef serves gastropub classics like Scotch eggs, shrimp croquettes, and steak frites. For now, Café Voorwaarts is only open on Fridays from 15:00 PM to 01:00 AM... So, mark your calendars. There are plans for exhibitions, guest chefs, and competitions. Ajax on the big screen.
