Restaurant and bar Dame aan de Kade, Amsterdam (de Pijp) is fun (and delicious)!
The restaurant and bar opened at Ruysdaelkade 169 in De Pijp in Amsterdam in January 2026 Lady at the Quay: a warm neighborhood bar and restaurant with such a wonderful no-nonsense attitude. "I'm here for you. See you later," says the Dame on their website. Okay, okay. We feel that. Owners Quirijn and Niek Roozen and Dominic Aarts have created a Mediterranean-European menu full of comfort food (and the bar: the best seats are at the bar). Interactive pollo piccolo (with gloves, hence the interactive), a creamy pointed cabbage with beurre blanc and a changing menu with small, shared dishes.
The drinks menu emphasizes natural wines and original beers and cocktails. You can go there all day long, but we especially enjoy it in the evenings, when the lights dim. The goal is to hang out comfortably without the club vibes. good to know And we're totally into that too. The 70s-inspired interior, from terracotta walls to glass blocks with recessed lighting, gives the place character. A truly wonderful place for the neighborhood (and we'd love to come back, even though we don't live nearby).
