Where the IJ-Kantine used to be, on the quay in Amsterdam-North, Café Restaurant De Baanderij is now located. And this newbie Fits North perfectly: always bustling, always full of space, and completely industrial. Nicely spacious layout with enough room inside for 300 people and 158 spots on the terrace overlooking the IJ. You’ll be here all week, all-dayWelcome from breakfast to one last drink. What shall we order? In the kitchen at De Baanderij, the team doesn't like to make things complicated, but they do like good quality. The extensive French-Mediterranean inspired menu features dishes that make you crave them immediately: ribeye with fries, fresh cod, and vegetarian favorites like artichoke or creamed spinach. Lunch is delightfully Amsterdam, with, for example, a 'broodje halfom' or a 'broodje bal'. Chef Marco Geurts follows the trend of 'shared diningFeel free to shoot. Here, you simply get a plate placed in front of you. And if you do want to share? Then just sneak a forkful from your table companions.
