The best spas and hammams in Marrakech – these are our favorites
In Marrakech, it is almost impossible to avoid it, and why would you? A hammam, a massage, an afternoon of complete pampering: the Marrakchis are incredibly good at it. The only big question is: where do you book the best spa or hammam in Marrakech?

Roughly speaking, you have two options. A day pass at one of the finest hotels, or simply booking a single treatment. Both work, and both are worth it.
Day pass
Those who want to go all out can book a day pass at one of the delightful hotels in Marrakech and the surrounding area. Access to the whole shebang, often including lunch, and you'll emerge feeling as fresh as a daisy. It works simply: choose your hotel or riad, check if there is a spa, and send an email in advance. Or have your own accommodation call, even better.
Spa & Hammam
Would you prefer to book a single spa or hammam treatment in Marrakech without a day pass? That is also possible. There are plenty of places (including at hotels) that you can simply book online.
Here is a selection of our favorites. We urge you: schedule that treatment. You will thank yourself for it later.
Follow the date palms and olive trees and you will naturally arrive at Amanjena: a peaceful oasis outside the old city. Graceful vaulted courtyards, rippling fountains, warm tones everywhere. It is oh-so beautiful there, and the spa complements it seamlessly. A word to the wise: the day pass here is pricey, and the treatment comes on top of that. At the same time, you are the prince(ss) of your own vacation for a day, and that is worth a dirham too.
At Les Bains de Marrakech, over 2000 square meters of hammams, steam baths, massages, mud wraps, and relaxation areas await. Afterwards, you can sit down for Moroccan mint tea and homemade sweets, while the scent of local oils and spices hangs in the air. Nice, but not surprising in Morocco: the spa uses skincare products based on local Moroccan ingredients. Delightful.
Just outside Marrakech, a twenty-minute taxi ride takes you there, which is really no problem at all if you know what to expect. The Beldi Country Club is a paradise, and that spa day is one you won't soon forget. The hammam is insane: you get scrubbed and exfoliated until not a single dirty cell can be found. A massage afterwards, and what more could you ask for? Lunch. Right. Also highly recommended. Walking in spontaneously? It's simply an option here. We've been doing it for years.
Behind the bright pink entrance of the beautiful Hotel El Fenn awaits a serene world of steam, tadelakt, massages, and tranquility. The hammam is traditionally Moroccan, the atmosphere is relaxed, and everything here revolves around slowing down—slowing down in luxury, that is. From the warmth of the steam bath, you roll straight into a massage by the fireplace, after which chances are you will linger in one of the hotel's hidden corners or on the rooftop terrace overlooking the medina.
