The Little Tor, summer pop-up restaurant

From the land straight to your plate at this pop-up restaurant in Engwierum, Friesland. Friendly farmer Folkert van Botmas left his job as a real estate agent in Amsterdam to work on his father's farm. This changed the course of both Folkert and the farm. Botmas transitioned to regenerative agriculture, a Barn Kitchen was established on the land, and all this beauty needed to be shared with the world. During The Little Tor Chef Tijmen Ubels surprises you with nine delicious courses at a long table in the cozy barn. The ingredients are sourced from Botmas's own land, which you'll first explore with a walk around the farm. Farm to tables in its purest form. There are still spots available in September.

The Little Tor

We actually know very little about all the work that goes into our food. A visit to De Kleine Tor, the pop-up restaurant of regenerative farm Botmas, changes that. First, you stroll through the fields to hear the farmer's stories. And later, the ingredients from the land are brought back to your plate. With these stories, you suddenly taste much more of the vegetables, the seasons, and the energy that goes into growing this beauty and preserving nature. De Kleine Tor doesn't serve a stew, but nine culinary courses with accompanying drinks. Summer will continue for a while and there is still room on Botmas' team.
