New in De Pijp (Amsterdam): all-day rotisserie restaurant Ceintuur Theater
Right across from the metro station in De Pijp, you will find an iconic former movie theater. Coffee & Coconuts was located here for years, but now this beautiful building has been completely transformed... Meet Ceintuur Theater. A all-day A rotisserie restaurant where quality and simplicity come first, seven days a week. Yes! A delicious combination. A rotisserie restaurant? That is a restaurant where meat is grilled very slowly and evenly on a spit. This makes it juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Yum. Amsterdam is already teeming with amazing restaurants, but according to owner Ricardo da Cruz Paulino, a true rotisserie destination was still missing. Ceintuur Theater is a dream come true for him.
After years of cooking at the highest level in Amsterdam's Michelin-starred gastronomy (including at restaurant Lars), Chef Atti de Moll is now opting for a more accessible and Burgundian course at Ceintuur Theater. In his kitchen, it is all about fire, simplicity, quality, and Mediterranean flavors. One of the absolute highlights is the Basque. free range Chicken from Lindenhof. But also ribeye, ravioli and cauliflower (vegetarian) are on the dinner menu. During the day, you can enjoy classic dishes such as shakshuka and scrambled eggs expect, but also some good sandwiches like a pumpkin sandwich or the porchetta sandwich. Big plus for flex workers: a special co-working area has been set up where you can work all day for €9,50 and grab unlimited coffee, tea, and fruit.
Ceintuur Theater also organizes fun events, such as Samba Sundays and the Rotisserie Takeover – featuring delicious food and music. During Rotisserie Takeover, the restaurant invites various Amsterdam chefs to put their signature on the rotisserie. This features a wide variety of completely different cuisines, from Moroccan to Mexican.
