The School Amsterdam

The School Amsterdam

School's out. They're out of it, that is. Excuse me? Let's go back: in Amsterdam West on the Jan van Breemenstraat there is a school building that previously housed the Elkesland College. The building no longer met the requirements required by the college for special education, so the students moved and the people of the former Club Trouw claimed the building. Ole.

A worthy successor to Club Trouw had to be created and because the building is located quite a bit outside the center, a 24-hour club was quite justified. But it will be much more than the dream club successor to Club Trouw: a 'piece' will be fine dining added in the form of Café DS, with the menu (from 7 a.m. to 16 p.m.) including buckwheat pancakes and toasted sandwiches, avocados and pastrami. And Restaurant DS, for after 16 p.m., a 3, 4 or 5 course menu. Gymnastics is also possible in Het Gymlokaal in 2 60s classrooms around the fantastic green courtyard, already the nicest gym in the country and open from January 4. Last but not least there will be a music stage. The club itself (for dancing, etc.), which can accommodate about 500 people, will be located in the bicycle cellar of the school and Post CS, the former manager of Club Trouw (then on Wibautstraat) pulls the strings. To be continued! The school
