Amsterdam East has a new city beach: DOK Amsterdam has moved!
A city like Amsterdam, where most people do not have their own garden and have to make do with a postage stamp balcony (or an open window), cannot have enough city beaches. And there's another one! For a change, Amsterdam East is the wind direction we should look for ('for a change', yes, because although Amsterdam Rust opened the doors again before they reopened in the North, the part of Roest that borders the water, the city beach, is no longer open there, so to be honest, it's not quite there, sorry!). DOK Amsterdam moved their party location from West to Amsterdam East!
DOK was and remains an Amsterdam place where you can go with your party fantasies: from an intimate party in the quirky warehouse to a mini festival on the city beach. DJs, drinks and casual enjoyment, in the open air. A perfect place to celebrate your birthday, light the BBQ or host your wedding. Less weather? No worries: the DOK warehouse can hold about 850 people standing and the city beach can hold about 1000. But you can also go with a smaller group. Nothing to celebrate except the nice weather? Then you're in the right place: the DOK café is your man.
Ok, that's not entirely true: DOK's Café is open from Thursday to Sunday from 12.00:23.00 to XNUMX:XNUMX. Provided there are no (private) events. The menu varies, with headliners such as macho nachos, poke bowls & more.
The new location of DOK Amsterdam can be found just behind the Omval and the Spaklerweg on an bulge of the Amstel, the Duivendrechtsevaart. So on the water (unlike in West where DOK Amsterdam was located in the Houthavens but without actual water in the vicinity.
