A Brazilian party at Elo Food Based

A Brazilian party at Elo Food Based

When we think of Brazil, we think of samba, beaches, tropical temperatures and of course carnival. In short; party, color and passion! Exactly this, but on your plate at Elo Food Based in Amsterdam, a Brazilian restaurant near the Westerpark. At Elo, the summer menu is an ode to the Brazilian summer, and that is not surprising when you know that the head of hospitality and the chef both have Brazilian roots.

Elo Food Based is located in West, on the Admiraal de Ruijterweg in an inconspicuous building, and the interior of the restaurant is also muito basic. A bit too basic for our taste, but with all the eclectic violence in the Amsterdam catering industry, it is also refreshing. And let's be honest: we ultimately come for the food. These are true works of art. Candied tomatoes with fermented strawberries, ceviche and picanha (meat prepared in a traditional Brazilian way). Not only a party on your plate, but also in your mouth. Good to know: there are also vegetarian options for all dishes.

Delicious wines are served with the menu and we were even treated to a real Brazilian liqueur, 'to finish it off'. But actually everything left me wanting more. For a dose of summer, we say va la! to Elo Food Based. With you love Spend a whole evening in sultry Brazilian atmosphere, what more could you want? For a four-course menu you pay €49, a five-course menu costs €58 and there is a five-course special menu for €67. Great prices for a trip to the Brazilian summer!
