At the other two pools children are welcome. Grand Velas organizes various activities (including snorkeling, swimming with dolphins and kayaking), but nothing is mandatory and everything is allowed (if you pay, of course).

The Condos of Via Tendenza are within walking distance of the beach and 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen, so very central. Both the host and the concierge are very friendly and there is a 24/7 eye on things. There are many restaurants nearby, but if you still want to cook, there is a kitchen with everything you need. Even a blender, so you can start the day healthy with a smoothie full of fresh fruit (because that always tastes better where the sun shines). To eat tacos and burritos outside the door the rest of the day. Via Tendenza consists of a six-person apartment and a ten-person penthouse. The latter is especially nice when you are traveling with a larger group.
More condos within walking distance of Playa Del Carmen? You bet. Gallery Condos Playa de Carmen is larger than Via Tendenza and therefore has more different studios and apartments. There are two swimming pools, but the one on the roof is not accessible for children. The other pool, located in the middle of the complex, is fortunately a good alternative. The furnishings of the studios and apartments are simple, but everything you need is there and the beds are comfortable.
From simple to over the top. Hotel Xcaret Mexico All Parks All Fun Inclusive in Playa Del Carmen. An expensive hotel, but one where everything is included. As a guest you have access to the nature parks and tours of Experiencias Xcaret (Xcaret, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, Xoximilco, Xel-ha and Xenotes), including all their dining arrangements, kids can get unlimited ice cream, and there is always entertainment within reach. Now that is truly all inclusive. It is massive, with over 900 suites. That does not have to be a problem, because as a guest you will not want for anything, but it is something you have to like.
Big, bigger, biggest. Banyan Tree Mayakoba is even more luxurious than the aforementioned Xcaret hotel. The luxury villas at the five-star resort have their own pool and garden, the slightly less (but still luxurious villas) have their own sun terrace and the standard rooms don't even have them. All villas are beautiful inside and out. At the lobby of the resort you can get into a boat to sail along the mangrove forest, Banyan Tree Mayakoba is located in a kind of mini-reserve. And opposite the El Camaleón golf club, those two worlds simply exist side by side here. There is also a spa where you can undergo various treatments, as if the place itself isn't relaxing enough.
Anah Suites by Las Flores in Playa Del Carmen consists of condos, suites and penthouses. Although it is an apartment complex, there are facilities that you would expect from a hotel. For example, there is a rooftop pool and a fitness room. The penthouses even have a private pool. Not big, but big enough. The beach is within walking distance, you will not find more water anywhere else. The center is also within walking distance, 5th Avenue is only three blocks away.
