The Greenpeace Plastival: a festival against plastic
Of course, the festival has a serious message. Only this is packaged without packaging in a very cozy jacket. Workshops, music, food trucks, talks, films, art and music. And - this made us laugh extra hard - therapy for your climate depression. Saving the planet becomes a mission you want to be a part of.
The Plastival is an event of the Plastic Monster Ship Tour. Major manufacturers are being pulled by the ears to take responsibility for the enormous mountain of plastic that we will be stuck with for the next 10.000 years. Companies such as Unilever, Coco-Cola and Nestlé are some of these culprits. Greenpeace encourages them to invest in refillable or reusable packaging. At the festival you can see, among other things, the Plastic Monster ship, a giant artwork made of plastic waste. After the festival, the monster is sent back to the polluter by ship.
On the Greenpeace website you can find the complete program. For example, there are talks by philosophers and scientists. There is a film of the Plastic Soup Surfer. Learn about plastic and how to make packaging-free DIY care products through a workshop. Of course, there is music and delicious food all day long. At the plastic-free market you can get inspiration for a plastic-free life. And you can come and peek on board the Greenpeace ship Beluga.
Plastival is completely free. Sunday March 24 from 12.00:20.30 to XNUMX:XNUMX at the Labyrinth on the Waalkade in Nijmegen.
