Campfire Stories

Campfire Stories

Campfire Stories is back. This year, the weekend retreat takes place from September 4-6 at camping Dijk & Meer – where the rest of the summer is also a good time – in Andijk. Three days full talks and workshops in nature, connection and delicious food. Because besides fire, food also plays a major role. All meals are prepared by chefs over an open fire and are primarily cooked with organic and local ingredients. That it is a Retreat This doesn't mean you have to sit on your yoga mat or butt for three days (although that's certainly allowed), on the contrary. There are plenty of workshops where you can roll up your sleeves, such as eco-printing, trail cooking and make fire.

There are only 100 tickets available and the early bird have already flown, so don't wait too long if you want to be there.

The Long Table in the South Limburg Hills

The Long Table in the South Limburg Hills

As if you were in Italy, but simply in the South Limburg hilly landscape. In the rolling hills and among the vineyards, Studio Nosh is launching this summer. The Long Table: a small-scale food retreat (yesss food and retreat = the best combination as far as we are concerned) where everything revolves around good food, slowing down, and being outdoors.

From August 14 to 17, settle down at Hoeve Hurpesch with a small group of about 12 to 14 guests. Hoeve Hurpesch is a picture-perfect location in any case, as this centuries-old listed farmhouse has been transformed into a holiday home, surrounded by a garden and meadow. There will be long tables amidst the greenery, cooking with products from local producers, and days that get off to a gentle start with yoga or Pilates. In between, you will roll up your sleeves during workshops: from baking sourdough bread to making jam with ingredients from the region.

The idea comes from Maddy, the woman behind Studio Nosh in Maastricht, who noticed that for this type of culinary retreat, people tend to look to Italy or France. While this is actually possible too.
