Hotel Zenden, we came there before. And this has been described before. But that was a while ago 2012, and so we went again. And no, that was again not disappointing. Hotel Zenden can be found in the heart of Maastricht and is - especially in Maastricht - known for its gym and swimming pool. But Hotel Zenden, as the name suggests, also brings us rooms and studios. Not all in the same building, no, the hotel is spread over several buildings, all of which are beautiful and well-maintained and in particular very white.

Read: next level white. Everything white, crackling bright white. And all the furniture is sleek. Beautiful, we think. What else does a stay offer you? If you stay in one of the studios, you have everything within reach. A small kitchen with a hob, Nespresso machine and cups, refrigerator and a relaxing sofa plus a corner to work or eat. Of course there is also a nice bed and a spacious shower. Enjoy your stay and in principle you don't have to leave the house.

But that would be a shame: as mentioned, the studios are located in the center of Maastricht and since Maastricht the bomb is, you want to go outside and you are everywhere within a short walking distance. That is useful because Martijn Zenden, the owner indeed, has a lot of tips. Martijn is aware of all the news, but also knows how to pick out the good old ones for you in terms of the best places to eat. Send Martijn an email in advance and you will receive an extensive list of restaurants that completely meet your wishes (of course, you must pass on your wishes in advance). Not entirely unimportant... How it works: report to the main building, where the gym is. DaThere you will find the reception, breakfast room, swimming pool and, as mentioned, the gym. Big plus that swimming pool to swim a few laps before enjoying a hearty breakfast. Final plus: Sending is incredibly affordable. You can sleep there for €99 per room per night including breakfast.
