The old farm was converted into a hotel in which the farmhouse atmosphere has remained. Farmers in the best sense of the word. No old stuff, but rooms full of authentic elements decorated in an eclectic style. The garden is full of orange, lemon and olive trees, so you can pick fruit straight from the tree. The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings that you can admire from the garden or from your private terrace. Or from one of the swimming pools. There are two swimming pools with enough sun loungers for all guests. There are not very many, because there are only seven rooms. Fortunately, laying down a towel is not an option. Hosts Vera and Antonia are incredibly friendly, just like the rest of the staff. They serve a fair breakfast and you can also join us for dinner.

Although you can have a great time without even stepping outside the hotel, it is recommended that you do so. Imani Country House is located in the relatively sparsely populated Alentejo region. It is not (yet) overrun by tourists and the area has many beautiful things to offer. The city of Évora, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is just a fifteen-minute drive away. The medieval town of Monsaraz is also worth a visit. The Cromlech of Almendres, the Roman baths and the Bones Chappel are also nearby. Plenty to see there in the Portuguese countryside.
