Italian panuozzos at Bottega in Tilburg

Tilburg is hip en HappeningRecently, yet another hotspot opened in this Brabant city. Since March, located at the end of Heuvelstraat, near Radioplein, Bottega: an Italian sandwich shop where good dough forms the basis and where at least as much attention is paid to the toppings. Perfect for a quick lunch. to go, but just as good for simply sitting down on the terrace.

No standard rolls here, but panuozzos: airy Neapolitan dough with a perfect bite, somewhere between a pizza and a sandwich. Fresh from the oven and generously topped with Italian ingredients you know (and a few you might not have known yet, but want to have as a standard from now on).

Think of creamy mozzarella with tomato and basil, but also combinations with mortadella and pistachio or a spicy-sweet kick of nduja and honey. Everything is just right: from the texture of the dough to the balance on your bun.

Nice detail: the guys from Pizza Ragazzi are in the kitchen. You might know them from their pizza. pop-ups in and around Tilburg. At Bottega, they have translated their love for Neapolitan dough and pure flavors into their lunch menu.

And as if that weren't enough, you can also score some Italian delicacies here to take home. Think homemade canoli, good olive oil, wines, and orange liqueur. Everything is just as good. yum.
