Kids play, you work: great places in Amsterdam where both are possible at the same time
It's cold, it's raining, and working from home with kids feels a little more complicated than usual this week. Luckily, there are a few places in Amsterdam where you can curl up with your laptop while your child plays, explores, or makes music. Here you can guilt-free to-do list while the minis are having the time of their lives.
This café gets it. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, Coffee & Kids transforms into an oasis of calm for parents. While you enjoy good coffee and work undisturbed, the little ones (ages 1,5 to 4) are supervised by experienced nannies in the adjacent room. Think: crafting, building, singing, or, with permission, playing in the playground around the corner. You're welcome to bring your own snacks, but bread and toppings are also provided. You can book three or four hours at a time, so there's plenty of time to clear your head or simply be productive.

- Toddler Montessori-Inspired Playgroup Independent play based on the Montessori principle. You can participate or work quietly at a table in the café.
- Toddler Music + Movement Every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00 AM. Live music, dancing, movement, and lots of fun.
A bright, quiet place in the Pijp where children can play freely in the play corner every day between 09:00 and 17:00, while you sit in the café with coffee and laptop. A win is a win. In addition to the popular Art Club and the creative PlayWithArt After School Club on Wednesdays (14:30–17:00 PM) is WOW is not only for creative people, but also for curious movers and little researchers.
On Tuesday there is Self Defense (4–6 years): a playful, child-friendly lesson in which toddlers learn to move, discover boundaries and learn to protect themselves in a safe way. Thursday? Then there is Ballet (ages 2–6) full of movement, simple choreographies and confidence in the making. And on Saturday, curious kids (ages 4–7) delve into the world of science at Mini Professors: experiments, questions and wonder guaranteed.
Lilo's is a warm, child-friendly living room with excellent coffee and a fun indoor play area for the little ones. Perfect for rainy or cold days. The kids can play while you relax at the table with a latte and your laptop. Bonus points for the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. It's also a great idea to celebrate your little one's birthday here.
