Class and character at INK Hotel Amsterdam – MGallery (and you can now win a night in the wonderful hotel!)

The atmospheric building has been located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal since 2015 INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery. A modern boutique hotel that impresses with its looks and - after all - from the moment the doors opened the inside that counts - character. The latter is primarily due to the function that the building previously had; From 1905 this was the home base of the Dutch newspaper De Tijd. If you close your eyes, you can still smell the ink and hear the presses turning, the hotel breathes so much history. Add to that the stylish details, unprecedented service and ideal location and you understand why INK Hotel Amsterdam deserves the label of new classic.

INK Hotel Amsterdam

INK Hotel Amsterdam

Because of its rich history, Stories, Ink & Time became the common thread in the INK Hotel and determined choices in the interior and all facilities of the hotel, the PRESSROOM restaurant and the cocktail bar. As soon as you have made your entrance, you immediately notice the quote on the wall: 'Where stories are yet to be written'. Clearly attention has been paid to all details and there are small (or large) references to the aforementioned stories and the newspaper everywhere. Cushion buttons with Amsterdam houses, for example, old telephones and printing presses. The color ink blue is everywhere and there are seventy classic typewriters spread throughout the hotel. We like it

The tasteful rooms are of the 'arrange a late check-out' caliber. A bed so wonderfully soft that it is impossible to get up early, fresh sheets that only exist in hotels and in some rooms a picture of a bathtub. The gold details provide a warm contrast with the blue and marble.

And here too – how could it be otherwise – the nod to the past: cushions decorated with pen stripes and the 'soft atlas' of Amsterdam; chalkboard-like drawings on the walls of each room, created by none other than illustrator Jan Rothuizen.

INK Hotel positions itself as a 'storyteller' and that includes a dose of excitement. In the PRESSROOM bar they shake kick-ass cocktails for you. Try The INKredible with real droplets of ink on a layer of foam or be surprised by the flair tender and pass on only your favorite flavors. If you live in Amsterdam, join us on Friday afternoon, because the weekend will kick off here during 'On Fridays we drINK'. And when the city turns pink in August during the annual Amsterdam Pride Week, INK Hotel transforms into a PINK hotel. Are you staying the night? Then you have brunch on Sunday with unlimited bubbles, just like we like to do when we put the flowers outside for a weekend.

What is certainly worth mentioning is the breakfast-to-go for guests with little time. lazy morning, then you take the time for breakfast. With a coffee and a newspaper, because newspapers are of course free in the PRESSROOM restaurant. Oh and you don't want to miss the INK salad with quinoa, endamame and feta.
