The best in Amsterdam for sourdough bread and wine: Levain et le vin Amsterdam

A good idea is simple, it has been that way since the invention of the wheel. Plus: excess is harmful. Finally, water and bread may be people's basic needs (besides sleep and sex, of course), but Jesus probably decided to pass around the wine during The Last Supper for a reason, right? In short: the best bread and wine, we don't need much more. And that's exactly what you're here for Levain et le vin Amsterdam may knock. The best sourdough bread and natural wines, they don't sell (or make) more, and that's more than enough.

Levain et le vin Amsterdam

Yesterday we sat next to someone in the Westerpark who was engrossed in a book about baking sourdough bread. It was special, I told him, to read about sourdough bread in the sun on a terrace. Yes, he says, that's because I'm going to speak in a podcast about baking sourdough bread. It's called what the Pod provides. Look, we like that and we just pick this up as an extra tip. It mainly reminded me of the new Levain et le vin in Amsterdam West, one of our new favorite addresses in the city, which I had forgotten to write about here. Oops.

This is probably because Levain et le vin experiences as if they have been there for years, and those who cross the threshold for the first time come often. So often that it becomes a habit. A good habit since, as mentioned, Levain et le vin provides our basic necessities: bread and wine. Recovery: sourdough bread and fin natural.

Levain et le vin in the Jan Pieter Heijestraat in Amsterdam is small and therefore exactly right. Once again: no unnecessary fuss and excess here. Then you don't need a big case at all. Owner Florence bakes her breads with her own sourdough brew, which, to be honest, are tastier than most breads. Many connoisseurs think so (not that we label ourselves that way! I just mean that the connoisseurs think so): Florence supplies its breads to the best restaurants in Amsterdam.

Stay seated or get your bread and wine to go (a single piece of cheese is also available). No plastic bag to go by the way: plastic is not allowed at Florence and the bread that remains is made into croutons. Kudos, again
