At Jantjes Sweet It actually feels like stepping into a good friend's living room. It is incredibly atmospheric and cozy. This is therefore a lovely spot if you want to have a relaxed lunch in Zwolle. The menu features a fine collection of everything that makes you happy on a lazy afternoon. Think of generously filled sourdough sandwiches with surprising toppings, good soups, and ridiculously delicious pastries.

But the real trump card of this place? Above the café sits a beautifully furnished apartment. We stayed there once and it was pure bliss. You wake up here in wonderful peace and quiet, even though you are right in the middle of the city. For this place, you have to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for a little while. But let's be honest: once you're there, you actually don't want to leave. De Kaat's greenhouse It is, in fact, an organic nursery, shop, and café all in one. As far as we are concerned, this is one of the most unique places to have lunch in Zwolle.

You are literally sitting amidst the greenery here in a huge glass greenhouse. Is the sun shining? Then move to the lovely terrace right in the middle of the greenery. Everything served is made with ingredients from their own garden or from local organic farmers. From the soups to the pastries: it doesn't get fresher than this. Add to that the crisp, fresh bread from their own artisan bakery, and you understand why this is such a favorite. It is a wonderfully bright spot where you can easily linger for hours.
