The best thing for the kids in Haarlem: Mr. Paprika
When we are in Haarlem, we find the spacious concept store Mr. Paprika still actually the nicest spot to hang out at. Grandpa and grandma along, kids along, croissant in front of everyone... That is, when the kids are not playing with all the Thomas the Train-like things (which you don't always want at home, but which they can find at Mister Paprika). can get away with).
To be honest, here at Bart HQ we don't really feel the need to carry all kinds of things home with us for the little stuff: a frying pan and a pen are often just as much fun, and they can keep themselves entertained for a very long time with the most expensive items. stuff usually not – you will always see. Except – except – at Mr. Parika in Haarlem. We always want to buy everything there. Because everything is fun. Including the large dress-up box, although we leave it there for the little ones to play with (it's not for sale either, but we told you we like everything here?!).
Amsterdam has popular (children's) hotspots such as Blender en Mini Market, but Haarlem is certainly not inferior to that with Mister Paprika. Good coffee (essential during the tropical years), yummy cake and last but not least: plenty to do for our little ones, who really turn into angels here, so that you can drink your well-deserved latte undisturbed. It is ideal that you can also go to the associated store for original gifts for all ages.
Mister Paprika is located in a side street of the Grote Markt where on Saturdays there are the tastiest food stalls and opposite you can go crazy in the nicest interior design shops.
ps. Paulien from @meltingpotstories made these wonderful images of Mister Paprika in Haarlem! In any case, it is highly recommended to follow Paulien on Instagram. We do too, you should too 😉
