On the Westergasterrein between the Westergasterras and Rainarai there is a fantastic building where, to many people's sorrow, so far no catering business lasted long. A shame, because the quiet sunny garden is one of the very best places on a summer day. So kudos to Mossel & Gin who moved into the building with their never-done-before concept, mussels and gin (cocktails), and immediately put it on the map. Also tip-top for those who are not mussel or gin fans: the menu includes delicious lobster/shrimp croquettes, oysters and half a lobster with fries, beers from the Amsterdam Brewboys and more than excellent wine. Last but not least: the service is always more than friendly, and believe us, we tested it many times. Mussel & Gin
