National Tapas Week 2017 – June 12-18, 2017
Ola, ola, get that Spanish summer dress out of your closet because it's almost here World Tapas Day! June 15th that is, and that is accompanied by a National Tapas Week (June 12-18, 2017). This entire week will be dedicated to Spain's culinary delight, the tapa. Several restaurants and wine bars in the Netherlands participate in this Spanish festival and serve special tapas dishes during this week, or even have a special tapas menu. So it has 21 Pinchot a special tasting in the Markthal of Rotterdam skewers (5 pieces for €12,- or 10 pieces for €20,-) or join our personal Rotterdam favorite Destination for example bear jeans (eggplant fritters) and calamari. Oh, and also an Amsterdam favorite Pikoteo is from the Spanish party. Ole.
Go for tapas, which loosely translated means: tapas, the Spanish use as a verb for maneuvering between different tapas bars where they enjoy a small appetizing snack with an alcoholic drink on the side. As far as we are concerned, however, it does not have to stop at that small snack and we simply combine all those tasty snacks into a main meal, what about you?
And the Spanish fiesta doesn't stop at just tapas, because there are also tapas wine bars along. Ha! For example WineWine in Utrecht, best wine bar of 2016 where you can hear the real stories behind the wine. Or the beautiful Stuyvesant winery in Amsterdam, where you can also order a Spanish tapas platter with your wine this week. Let's!
