New: Café Plan West Amsterdam
De hood already knew: Bar Evert Jan is no more. That is always a bit sad, but also our own fault: then we would have had to break the barrier. Too little, too late. But where a door closes, a window opens. Literally: the large window on the street side of the new Café Plan West on Witte de Withstraat in Amsterdam West tilts completely so that the chairs behind the window soften the lack of a terrace here.
And there's more! There's karaoke! Again? Yes, again, because karoake is the best evening entertainment if you ask us. So we can only applaud all the karaoke addresses in the city. That's probably not good Dutch. We don't care because we just shake hands (and each other, and each other again, etc.) in front of Café Plan West - just the kind of cozy neighborhood pub where you can go all day long. And wants. Nothing more nothing less. And now we have to break that threshold. Except on Mondays when they are closed. The rest of the week you can get (goat) cheese sandwiches, a piece of sea bass and a microphone.
