Ninour, Amsterdam (south)
In the case of Ninour, let's start with a list of positives, in non-random order:
1) We love businesses started by independent hospitality enthusiasts, especially those run by those who are doing it for the first time. For the simple reason that everything is still so authentic, unique, original, done with a little more love (or so it seems) and with the occasional tiny teething problem. It becomes even more fun when there is a handsome couple behind the bearer, Nina and Ab in this case.
2) Pink. Love pink. Not a cloyingly sweet pink but a slightly greyed pink. Yes please.
3) Morocco. Fond of Morocco (not really about classic Moroccan dishes, but more about that in a moment).
4) If there is also something to shop for (we want everything), then you can't really go wrong.
Let's go back to that Moroccan cheese menu that the undersigned is really not that fond of (because it is normally peppered with dishes of lamb (= petting zoo), lentils and no-ingredienttaste-for-itself tagine, ew, but that's me!). Anyway, that's fine with Ninour. Accessible Moroccan lunch dishes on the menu. Just call it swearing in the mosque: I like. The toast party, for example, where you get three sandwiches, 1 with peanut butter and banana, 1 with avocado, feta and mushrooms and 1 with hummus, cucumber and parmesan. More Moroccan is also possible: yoghurt, orange blossom and fruit or a (Lebanese, whoever pays attention to it) wrap with hummus, grilled vegetables and goat cheese. Only for breakfast and lunch, and a shop. Afterwards, Ab and Nina also go home. Ninour
