Nora Magasin is Iceland's answer to the gastropub and a textbook example of the colorful vintage decor with home-knit rugs over the worn-out sofas that hip Reykjavik is known for. The owner is half French, half Japanese which is reflected in the menu. The best man also runs the house next door Deposit restaurant, a fancy-chic affair. We were there again recently and we have to honestly say: meh. There are nicer places in the nicest city. But if you need to take shelter with a cup of tea to warm up: fine! Nora Magasin
