Lottssss to do in Rotterdam lately. In any case, because there is always a party in Roffa, but when it comes to new restaurant openings, it is certainly also a party. A corner of Rotterdam to keep an eye on is the Hoogkwartier, and especially everything around the new (or actually: still under construction) Industrial building. A gigantic building just outside the immediate city center where several companies have now established themselves and where even more good news is attracting. Recently (last week) Rotterdam's favorite one moved in interior and design store Groos a corner on the ground floor (recommended!!) and another corner was occupied just before pizza restaurant Old Scuola Rotterdam, the topic of conversation.

Old Scuola Indeed, you could say something like that: the two young men (actually an archaeologist and a structural engineer) have already appeared at various festivals in recent seasons with their finger-licking pizzas, served from their self-built mobile pizza truck. That was a success, that much is clear. The festival browsing certainly does not end with the arrival of Old Scuola HQ in the Industriegebouw: the men see their regular restaurant much more as a head office from which many more great plans (and pizzas) can come. And the HQ is a beautiful one: beautiful light, lots of (very much) space, good acoustics (kudos!), no sitting on the neighbors' laps, exceptionally friendly service, a nice terrace in a quiet street (holiday feeling-galore ) and handsome choices of marble and wood for the furnishings. We like. What we also like is the pizza, which is not unimportant. Super airy base, cheese on top, truffle, ham, tomato and arugula - perfect. And further? Also asparagus, a seafood platter and a cheese or meat platter, among others. We'll be back for the rest. Old Scuola
