The tastiest sushi at Omakase in Amsterdam

The tastiest sushi at Omakase in Amsterdam

At Omakase Amsterdam It's all about simplicity and craftsmanship. In the bright, minimalist restaurant on Ferdinand Bolstraat, formerly home to Moak, you take a seat at the wooden bar, directly across from the chef. There, the carefully prepared nigiri is served in a fixed order. No avocado, no mayo, no extras. Just fish, rice, and soy sauce. The concept is classic Japanese: you surrender yourself completely to the chef's skill, as he serves a 14-course menu featuring the freshest ingredients of the day. A small disclaimer: please leave your dietary requirements at home. Only gluten intolerance can be accommodated (to a limited extent), and latecomers will unfortunately not be admitted.

Tuna festival

Oh, and you've probably seen it before: the tuna festivals. Once a month, the team organizes an evening entirely dedicated to tuna. Imagine: a giant tuna being carried in and a chef filleting a whole tuna live, accompanied by sake, sashimi, and sushi.
