We'll start with a triple tip. Right in the heart of the region, you'll find Köpmangatan 6, a well-known name in the area when it comes to good restaurants. This lovely restaurant is located on the main street of Borrby, a village with fewer than 1.000 inhabitants. Despite its small population, it's packed night after night. The atmospheric interior and lively evenings make for a cozy, enjoyable experience that might even leave you wanting more. The staff is informal yet knowledgeable, and if you only visit one restaurant in the region, we'd recommend this one. If you're in the area during the summer, you're in luck. The team behind this place also runs a fantastic beach bar at Borrby Strand (Khyls Strandbar), plus a pizza and wine bar next to their main restaurant, called Picklebar.

At the most popular tourist attraction, Ales Stone (59 enormous boulders whose original purpose is still unknown), you can easily spend a day or half a day. You'll walk along the cliffs, beautiful beaches, and enjoy stunning coastal views. But back to what you're here for: the great food and drink spots! You'll want to take a break at The Hideout and/or Ebba's Cafe. Both are located on the same charming little street that's on your walking route from the parking lot to the coast. The Hideout (also a place to stay, by the way) is an outdoor shop stocked with Carhartt, Yeti, Topo Designs, and other great outdoor brands, with a nice coffee corner and terrace for filter coffee and Swedish snacks. A little further on, you'll find Ebba's Cafe, a coffee shop/lunch spot with a large terrace and everything you'd expect from a Swedish restaurant: (naturally!) cinnamon buns, shrimp toast, and rye bread with egg and cheese.

In Glemmingebro, you'll find another renowned bakery in the region: Olof Viktors Café. You've probably already encountered the name where you're staying, as they deliver their baked goods to the entire area. Everything from bread to granola, cookies to nuts, jam, tea, and ice cream comes from here. It might sound grand, but it certainly doesn't feel that way. The courtyard garden is an oasis of tranquility, and in the bakery itself, you can watch the team busy with dough, nuts, and treats all day long. In the shop, everything screams "take me with you!", and before you know it, your bag will be overflowing with delicious treats to enjoy for the rest of your trip.

The best thing about Sweden? That you can just stumble upon the coziest coffee shops and bakeries on random farms in the middle of nowhere. Two great examples are Pirat Bageriet and Huset i Hannas. Both are small, owner-run, and have that wonderful homey feel. At Pirat Bageriet, you'll find a lovely terrace full of vintage furniture at the edge of the farmhouse. Raining? Then it's mainly a to-go spot. At Huset i Hannas, on the other hand, you can cozy up inside. Both are highly recommended for your caffeine fix in the region.
