Restaurant Persijn Amsterdam

About the building of the new QO Hotel, which houses Persijn restaurant and Juniper & Kin bar: it is grand and compelling, and sunny. all year long. But in the case of Persijn, it is also thoroughly Dutch: real Dutch food is served here, with a 2018 twist. With home-grown ingredients and from Persijn's own greenhouse to show - and taste - how surprising and innovative Dutch cuisine can be. Ha!

Real Dutch food, but really real, that is what the new Amsterdam restaurant Persijn promises. And not in the stew with sausage and a gravy hole (although… Nothing wrong with that), no, Persijn Amsterdam promised all the way en the good and fancy way to go. Yes, we hear you thinking and yes, we agree with you: there are others who have tried that, and we also agree: not always with equal success. So tasting is believing, nothing more and nothing less.

Persijn can be found on the ground floor and on the 21th (!) floor you walk into Juniper & Kin, the hotel's rooftop bar. Here we serve cocktails and a selection of smaller 'raw-food' dishes, also from our own greenhouse (which can be found on the 22nd floor). That name? It comes from the juniper berry, the main ingredient for that quintessential Dutch alcoholic drink: Jenever. From which summer cocktails are once again shaken. Circle around.
