Pesca, Amsterdam
As if 'people' want to tell us something (hello good intentions?): fish is the new organic hamburger, or so it should be (read: quality and low prices). That started (well, started... started...) with Tiger and the Fish, then also crocheted in Amsterdam West Viscafe de Gouden Hoek for the better and moreover affordable fish, the Sea Salt Saloon, for which we have high expectations (because relaxed with fish and white beer is the message) and now owners Sven and Jos of the future fish restaurant - recovery; fish theater - Pesca on Amsterdam's Rozengracht are eager to open their doors in March 2016.
One fish is not the same as the other and Sven and Jos even promise, as said, to create a whole theater out of it, with a Southern European fish market in mind. Above all, with the same idea as Viscafe de Gouden Hoek: making fish accessible again. High-quality fish, shellfish and shellfish in a beautiful, accessible spot at small and fair, as they call them, prices (25% to 40% cheaper than elsewhere, that's quite something). In Amsterdam to start, but the idea is - and this doesn't seem so crazy to us - that the concept of men will prove revolutionary and other cities will quickly follow suit. That restaurant Nomads having to make room for it is a shame (so you know exactly where it will be, that Pesca) but that location, well, it is of course great. Our hearts beat with anticipation. Fishing
Want to see more of the men and their fishing mission? Sven and Jos are followed by a new platform and series: Restaurant Revolution. No, no drama there, I promise. The idea is to make a documentary about the upcoming revolution within the hospitality industry. Sven and Jos and their Pesca form the pilot of the program that should be broadcast on TV (somewhere) in 2016. Oh, and be sure to read this: Crowd about Now.
