While cycling past one of the most beautiful streets - and not just in name - of Amsterdam West, the Bosboom Toussaintstraat, we noticed a new shop. Little Plant Pantry sounds super sweet. And it is. The self-built shop - with seating areas and a garden for coffee and something vegan to eat - sells natural food and more. Zero waste, plant based and healthy for yourself and the planet. We are very excited!

Small but so big at the same time. We all know it, but we are so stuck with our old habits - which are presented to us oh so easily in the supermarket - where we consume a lot of plastic and unhealthy food. If we really want to stop environmental pollution, we should switch to stores like Little Plant Pantry Amsterdam. In the shop in Amsterdam Oud West they sell plant-based food such as grains, rice, beans, nuts, seeds, superfoods, mueslis, coffee, tea, herbs. You feel it anyway. All your basic food that is healthy, organic, animal-friendly, fair trade if possible and - what Little Plant Pantry is really all about - packaging-free. Bring your own bags and boxes or use an environmentally friendly version from the store. So easy and so effective.

In addition to the food they sell, they also sell a small selection of care and household products. Handmade soap, detergent, bowls, pots. And you can enjoy vegan treats both indoors and outdoors. Croissants, bread, granola and yogurt for breakfast. And hot dishes such as soup, quiches and stews for lunch and dinner. The garden was built by a group of people who loved the concept so much that they wanted to help build the Little Plant Pantry. It resulted in a lovingly made garden with seating areas and a vegetable garden. If you want to escape the commercial hustle and bustle of the city, this is your place. Make sure you have a list of the food you need with you. And take your first steps towards minimum waste here – because waste-free living is still a dream.
