Amsterdam's favorite KID is finally back: bigger and better than ever
KID started out as an online-only guilty pleasure, grew through pop-ups, and became an instant success with their own spot on Ruysdaelkade. We wrote it back then: “KID is here and it's here to stay.” Well... things turned out differently. Completely unexpectedly, KID announced its closure, and the reactions were undeniable. Fortunately, the rumors quickly started: KID would be back. It took a while (okay, quite a while), but the wait was more than worth it. After more than five months, KID is back; updated, bigger, and better than ever. And this time, we dare to say it with conviction: KID is really here to stay.
It all started with the KID Fried Chicken burger, still the best we've ever had, but at Ruysdaelkade, it quickly became clear that KID has much more to offer. And yet, that wasn't enough. While KID already kept evenings full in De Pijp, they're now taking things a step further. At the new location, on Frederik Hendrikplantsoen, you can visit seven days a week, from 09:00 AM to midnight. Evenings still revolve around cocktails, fine wines, dinner, and snacks, while during the day you can enjoy coffee, matcha, and baked goods – lunch is coming soon.
There's also one thing KID always excels at: branding. Everything is perfect. From the very first detail to the overall look, perfectly coordinated. You'd love to copy the interior exactly to your own home, and it's exactly the kind of place where you sit down and forget about time. KID has built a loyal fan base and its own community, and as all-day hub We expect it to only continue to grow. One thing's for sure: dinner on Sunday evening, coffee on Monday morning—you don't have to worry about it anymore. At KID, you can always go.
