Café restaurant Menu Corridor: the culinary gem in the Koepel complex

The detour tip in Haarlem: café restaurant Menu Corridor in the Koepelcomplex is more than just a nice all-day dining spot. Menu Corridor is located in the former Administration Building, where prisoners entered and were registered. Meanwhile, it is no longer just the restaurant; right above the restaurant, the incredibly fun and beautiful [decorative] opened. Metzlr HouseA dream of a hotel. And it’s not finished yet: the rooftop terrace opens in the summer of 2026 as well! Back to Menu Corridor: a lovely bistro with a sunny terrace in the summer and, just as importantly, good food and a great atmosphere.

If we had to describe café-restaurant Menu Corridor in one sentence: good and atmospheric food in a beautiful restaurant with a sunny terrace. What more could you ask for? Good wine. They have it too – with a wine list that's longer than the dinner menu. A big plus: after a good wine and food session, you don't have to worry about how to get home, because you can simply sleep in the comfortable boutique hotel Metzlr House, which is connected to the restaurant.

Corridor has a bistro atmosphere and the menu hits the mark; it is a combination of trendy dishes and classics. Think stracciatella, roasted red beet, almond, mustard seed, and shiso vinaigrette for starters. Steak frites with chimichurri, beet leaves, and homemade mayonnaise for the main course, and Madeleines with vanilla ice cream for dessert. For the locals: Corridor is a little brother of old acquaintances Colette and Nolita. Reserve here a cozy table.
