San George, Amsterdam

San George, Amsterdam

There's a New George in town; San George. And that brings the George counter to 8. San George is what you are used to from our George, but a little different. A little more chic, a little more polished and for once no poached eggs but all-day oysters, bruschettas, anti pasti platters, a divine barrata and more Italian goodness from about 11 in the morning. And truffle. Oh my truffle. Recommended: the eggs with asparagus and therefore truffle for brunch. Which makes San George a great (business) lunch topper in the heart of the city. Because right across from the Leidseplein, starched rugs, nice round seats (my personal favorite dining arrangement), a nice light house wine and a nice and also easy (always nice, a menu that actually tells you something) menu. San George
