Amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Scheveningen Pier... yeah yeah, but now Utrecht also has one of the nicer food festivals on the agenda: SCHAFT. In a large warehouse with the bombastic name De Werkspoorkathedraal (we like it, plus: quite appealing to the imagination). The warehouse is gigantic, historical and industrially beautiful (reminiscent of the old tram depot De Hallen in Amsterdam West before those halls were De Hallen) and actually reason enough for a 1-2-tje Utrecht during the Easter weekend. That, and because the organizers promise an 'old-fashioned get-together', with a nod to the '60s, '70s and '80s. Vintage food trucks, funk, soul, Motown and jazz, local catering partners and breweries, attractions, barbers, fashion and vintage market stalls aka: nostalgic entertainment. SHAFT
