On to Amsterdam Beach, er, Zandvoort: these are the nicest beach bars in Zandvoort
Zandvoort is also called 'Amsterdam Beach'… Okay, that's fine. We get it: it is of course also the beach that you can reach fairly quickly from Amsterdam by train and that is exactly what we do regularly. Then sit down at the most popular beach bars on the Zandvoort sand. On to Amsterdam Beach, er, Zandvoort: these are the nicest beach bars in Zandvoort.
In the category Best New Beach Club is Club Cabo in Zandvoort as winner. In June 2022, Jakob Nieuwenhuijsen and Bob van Gerwen opened this stunner of a tent in Zandvoort. At this beach bar you get the Caribbean beach feeling with a nod to the 80s Miami South Beach. The bright colors immediately put you in the holiday mood. Everything has been set up with an eye for detail and a bit of humor. The luxurious pink and white striped beach beds, the fresh flowers, the real plants, you can see that a lot of love has gone into them. The dishes have also been well thought out. The smoky barbecue flavor of various dishes are delicious and definitely a reason to come back. Club Cabo is open from February to October. So we'll have to wait a little longer.
Even if you think you have exhausted all the beach bars in Zandvoort, there is a chance that you are not familiar with Phosphorus yet. Ha! At the very end of the beach, where you cannot reach by car (you will have to walk, you will have earned it extra hard afterwards), has been there for a few summers (note: only in the summer months, from mid-March onwards) Phosphorus. Exactly as a beach bar is meant to be: nice classic beach menu, nice people, nice service. Nothing wrong, but it was executed exactly right.

Hey, hello new kid on the Zandvoort block! And it's a nice one: Kayuca Zandvoort, from the people behind it (winter) Lodge in Noordwijk. That's nice to know, because if you have the same... vibe If you are looking for a place to stay in autumn and winter, Noordwijk is the place to be. Kayuca is open from mid-March to the end of the summer season. Been mid-March? On to this spot on the most popular piece of Dutch sea sand where everything goes according to the beige colored books, but in the best possible way.
And better to have a good neighbor than a distant friend: Kayuca Zandvoort is located between Hippie Fish and Ubuntu, pretty much the most popular beach bars of recent years. The menu at Kayuca Zandvoort is not 'middle of the range': original dishes that make (vegetarian) people happy.

A bit of Ibiza, just in your own country. Zandvoort to be precise. You understand: relaxed atmosphere, ultimate enjoyment and delicious food. You can relax here on one of the lounge sofas and enjoy the sunset with a nice glass of wine. But you can also come here for fun drinks, birthdays, company parties and more. We are fans.
Not least because Far Out is open all year round!

new kid, Cosmico Beach. Also a very handsome one. Also the place for a piece of Italy on our own coastline. They serve Italian shared dining here. The tent is tilted, so you look at the beach from a completely different perspective. You can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks in a quiet atmosphere.
We deliberately don't put it at the top of this list, but everyone knows (or well, many people know): whoever says beach tent in Zandvoor, actually says Hippie Fish. A real, genuine beach club, and a quite popular one, from owners who once learned the ropes at Ubuntu beach club. The food is remarkably good (especially for a beach bar and on hot summer days there are even homemade popsicles with large chunks of strawberries - so tasty) and the place is beautiful. And therefore rightly popular. What also helps is that it is one of the best addresses in the country that you can easily reach from Amsterdam by train. For that reason, for example, Noordwijk or Bergen are secretly a bit more fun (because you have to make a little more effort to get there), but trains are a black, then Hippie Fish is your answer. Also perfect with the kids. You can then send them to the beach. Win-win.
Okay, let's also do the other one we just talked about: Ubuntu. A wonderful, nothing-to-happen place in Zandvoort. Precisely because so many people turn their noses up at Zandvoort, it is wonderfully relaxed to hang out on the beach of Zandvoort, especially just outside 'the season', during the evening hours, close to sunset. kids have to go home and the best time of the day arrives or when the weather is just not right and the heater can be turned on.
Like with Ubuntu Beach. Wood, simple chairs, good food and swings, on the deck and on the sand. Inside, the fire is burning whenever possible, outside the music is thundering (no technohouseelectrohoempapa), on the menu a delicious pulled pork taco or fish sandwich with mackerel and apple. And also easy to reach by train. Oh, and the atmosphere is top notch.
We say it more often and about more addresses, but... Tijn Akersloot is a real favorite among beach bars. In the past, when we were still young and stubborn, we mainly thought of Tijn as 'crackers', but now we fully understand the appeal (since it opened in 1965). First of all, Tijn Akersloot is open all year round (also with takeaway). Secondly, the tent is located just off the busy boulevard of Zandvoort, but close enough to get there by train and a manageable walk. Thirdly, there is enough space to be able to isolate yourself, even when it is busy. There is a fireplace for cold days and the staff is always in good spirits. The brick oven pizzas – thin, crispy, like real Italian ones – are not to be missed and in summer, with a bit of luck, the watermelon gazpacho and roasted yellow beet salad will be on the menu. And fish tacos.
