Styling and (online) shopping tips for your garden/balcony/city stamp
Spring is here! I have no idea if it's just us, but we have the feeling that half the world is updating its outdoor space. Us too! Fun that we have that too. We searched for the most beautiful, asked the Pro for her favorites, mixed with hard budget toppers and came up with the styling and shopping list below.

Create a no brainer actually of course, and yet almost everyone forgets to first think carefully about what you find important: lying in the sun with a book, extensive outdoor dining, a nice casual barbecue, creating a shelter with seating areas, or a place where you can put all your gardening skills to use. can let go.

The garden table itself can of course be 'just' a simple model made of (light) wood. Every hardware store, Ikea or other (low budget) store has them. Or you really have to feel like it and have a table made to measure, for example by BoxWorx who makes beautiful custom tables from natural materials. What 'makes' your garden as far as we are concerned is what you put on and around that table. A collection of chairs for example: Tine K Home really has the most fantastic (bamboo) chairs and benches that immediately turn your garden (table) into a fairytale. Find 1 or 2 of the same color and place other chairs around them that match. Bamboo chair? Then the other chairs also made of light wood. You can draw the whole group together by matching the cushion and tablecloth: find (or make yourself) chair cushions from, for example, white linen with a blue stripe, and match with the same or slightly different tablecloth (for example a blue-white floral pattern or net another line). This way you keep it exciting and it still remains one whole. Mix those more expensive (but very nice) chairs with cheaper models from Ikea. This for example, or this.
Well, it must be said that most people prefer a nice place to lie down and hang out, right? Lounging, as it is called with a horrible term. Us too. Easy does it: you can make the tastiest, cheapest and most cozy hanging benches yourself with pallet cushions. chore has very nice light gray (just the right shade of gray) and Leen Bakker handsome dark green. The important thing is that you style them with a nice rug (or a few rugs) and something extra pillows. Speaking of styling: don't forget the floor! Even if you have beautiful tiles in your garden or new wood on your balcony, every outdoor space will be freshened up by a beautiful rug. So far so good, but that super atmospheric Moroccan atmosphere, how do you do that? Simple: 1) choose a color palette and stick to it. Terracotta with pink and a little bit of ocher yellow does the trick. But you can also go wild and get the Moroccan atmosphere in shades of green, and – of course – in white and gray, as long as you follow points two, three and four.
2) Cushions and rugs over and on your couch. Preferably with pompoms. The Souks is your go to address at all times. Don't forget the floor: place jute rugs on the floor: Intratuin, Merel in Winderland and Ikea all have them, and an ottoman, made of fabric via The Souks of The Weavery.
3) Lights. A garland in the air, lanterns and simple tea lights. This en this from Westwing Now are beautiful. Do you have a wall? Then drill or hammer long (gold-colored) hooks onto it and hang a collection of lanterns against it, such as at El Fenn (photo).
4) Plants. Large, small, hanging plants, plants in a pot, etc. Create corners by collecting a number of plants and/or cacti together.
