Friday Five
With the weekend approaching, the question always arises... where are we going to eat? And more importantly: where is there a last minute spot (probably, we don't promise anything)? Certainly not with all the news and hips and happenings in the capital, but here for example; a small, random but nice selection of options that you might have forgotten:
* Proud Amsterdam, now that all eyes are on Amsterdam East - where the store opened its second branch this weekend Rotisserie opens - we are meanwhile taking it easy in West. More info here.
* Rainy, windy weather, so off to the new city beach Blijburg where the heater goes on when things are a bit less. The tent is far enough away for most Amsterdammers to justify an Uber ride. Typical Sunday thing. More info here.
* In the same category (a taxi ride allowed): the Gilding Unicorn. You could almost forget it, since it was mainly the large garden that made a big impression last summer, but in the winter it is just as good for dining. More info here.
* For Saturday: BOWIE. No reservations, just join us for that Mexican meal. More info here.
* Bee Food bar 63 degrees it's good to be, always. Oh, that pasta. And, also tasty: you won't get a pain in the wallet from it. More info here.
* We recently joined the Walter Woodbury Bar; quite a good idea if we say so ourselves. More info here.
* Everyone at the Jerk Chicken of Plato Loco! Although a spot is not exactly guaranteed in the small neighborhood restaurant, but a phone call and you will know. More info here.
* The Lobby, always (al-ways) The Lobby, the restaurant of Hotel V Nesplein, where the food is good and the service is spot on. Promised. The Lobby (the pictures above were taken at The Lobby)
