The Duke Hotel & apartments, Den Bosch

The Duke Hotel: a handsome, urban-cool hotel in dark colors, with cheerful white slogans on the walls (provided you take the stairs - you should just do that) and with a lounge-slash-breakfast room where it's not only very is a good breakfast (fresh salmon, eggs any style, a variety of meat, sweets and cheese; more than fine), but it also functions remarkably well for a (business) meeting or quiet laptop session. But the rooms are really something to write home about: the same dark beauty, beautiful golden taps and ditto rain shower. The most amazing room is the one on the roof. Yes, on the roof, and it is almost entirely made of glass. Does that cost? About 200 euros per room per night (and that is the most expensive room, the rest are much lower)

Where the hotel is located in Kerkstraat, and most of the rooms overlook St. Jan, you will find the apartments in a super cozy street a stone's throw from the central station, ideal for the train travelers among us. The difference with the hotel? That light! It washes in through the large windows, even in the bathroom (can of course be closed). But everything else is just as tastefully done: Marshall speakers in the room, gray moss green on the walls, a fantastic bed (with really creaky linen; many hotels say they have it, The Duke has it). The apartments are ideal for anyone who stays in the city longer (also recommended) thanks to the complete kitchen and there is even a washing machine.
