Almost open: The Seafood Shop Amsterdam

Our Brabant friends from The Seafood Bar Amsterdam are on already roll! The club has not 1, not 2 but 3 addresses (on the van Baerlestraat, the Spui and in the Ferdinand Bolstraat) in Amsterdam where you can go for truly the tastiest plateau royal full of delicious fish and seafood (and: for a glass Ruinart which they have open as standard, really the tastiest champagne). And now there is no less than case number 4! Once again at an AA location (which is nice) on Amsterdam's Leidsestraat, in the heart of the city indeed and not far from the location on the Spui.

The Seafood Bar will also be on show on Saturday, September 16 Museum Quarter Festival

The family business (The Seafood Bar belongs to the Visscher family) calls it himself back to their roots going: case number 4, which opens in November, will be the The Seafood Shop are called and this time it is - duh - more of a shop than a bar or restaurant (although you can probably throw in a fish on the spot) Back to how the family once started, namely as a fishmonger with a fish shop in Helmond, Brabant. Voila. And further? Furthermore, it will be modern and light as usual, with display cases full of fresh fish.

Good to know: fish is delivered in large quantities every day at all Seafood Bars in Amsterdam. Fish is - rightly - popular (because it is healthy) and there are few good fish shops in the city center of Amsterdam. The Seafood peeps respond to this, but not haphazardly: sustainability is key, and we think it is part of the success. Together with the suppliers, MSC and MSA certified fish are selected where possible and in the kitchens it is ensured that the whole fish is used, and therefore no waste is.
