Edinburgh is quite magical. Castle here, Game of Thrones landscape there, Gothic architecture around the corner: magical, that is. Restaurant Timberyard is a short walk from all the above-mentioned beauties and its design is a creative contrast to its industrial design - the restaurant is located in a former department store and that can still be clearly seen here and there, but otherwise the woolly rugs and fabric chairs fit perfectly with the fine dining dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients that come from the kitchen. And further? A small menu (nice, making choices is difficult enough), lots of small ones, quite a bit unusual snacks and nice vinos. Timberyard
