Tiengemeten, you either know it or you don't, probably the latter. Long story short: that is an island near Rotterdam with greenery, water and even more greenery. And a very nice place to become zen, go for a good walk and... to just enjoy life. That nice place, that is Tiny Parks. Camping the way we prefer; not in the mud with a leaking tent and an increasingly deflating air mattress, but in style. Glamping, we like it that way.

If we are completely honest, we can all do something island life to use. Even if it is just the feeling that you are far away from the mainland or the idea that you are surrounded by water. You don't have to take the plane, because you can also get there with the ferry at Tiengemeten. You can easily create a holiday feeling in your own country, but TinyParks “Cast Away” also takes away all your worries for a while. We are not exaggerating when we say that this is a special experience. This could be due to the cheerful people at the ferry (who really remind you where to stand or sit), the employees of Natuurmomenten (with an incredible passion for the island) or the silence. Whatever, we all like it.
Rest, yeshaaa. But maybe that wasn't entirely made for humans after all. You can visit this pearl of a place all year round. In the summer for swimming, SUPing and enjoying delicious wines on the terrace until the late hours. In winter you light the wood stove in your tent or join the other guests at the campfire.
And conviviality, that is also something that is certainly important here. On the site you will find the "living room", barbecue, campfire area, wood-fired sauna, shuffleboard, silent disco, pizza oven, jacuzzi and lovely relaxing seating areas around the island. They also organize the “famous” TinyParks Family Dinner every evening, which you can enjoy. Ideal for socializing, making friends or just chatting, but of course you can always take a break. With a good book by the water or somewhere on the terrace near the living room.
After that portion of fun, you can roll straight into your tent, because there is no better place to sleep. You have four options for this. The first is a hotel room and although we understand that that is sometimes more convenient, it is best to skip that option. Not because that hotel is bad, certainly not, but the other options are 'something different'. So it is much better to go for one of the three different types of tents. The first is the Belltent, the most basic of the three. But hey, very cozy. The second option is a beautifully decorated teepee, where you may wake up a bit early by the light in the tent or by one of the hundreds of different birds. But this is definitely worth it and it can accommodate two people. Boss above boss goes for the Dome, which can accommodate four people and gives you a beautiful view. Pure nature.
