Ferry service to Pampus and Muiderslot, Amsterdam
Since April 4, 2015, the ferry service from Amsterdam IJburg to Muiderslot Castle and Fort Island Pampus has been operating again! And that's good news, not just for the offspring. We explain: Muiderslot is one of the oldest moated castles in Holland, a real castle with a moat. In the Muiderslot you can wander through the castle on your own via the Knight Route or the Tower Route. Fort Island Pampus is located between Amsterdam and Muiden and was built more than 100 years ago as a fortress to protect access to Amsterdam. During your visit, discover everything about life on Pampus and where the term “lying in front of Pampus” comes from (which many adults don't know either, we don't say anything)
During the May holidays there is an extra fun promotion: children who sail along dressed as a pirate only have to pay €7,50 for Pampus (instead of €15)! * The boat departs daily from April 4 to November 1 (except on Mondays) from the port of IJburg, near the terminus of tram 26.
