Vincenzo's Statenkwartier

Vincenzo's Statenkwartier

We have been fans of it for a long time Vincenzo's pizzeria in the Prins Hendrikstraat and his Italian sister (brother?) Vincenzo's Osteria diagonally across the street. Delicious pizzas from the large pizza oven in the middle of the shop, pushed in and out by a real Neapolitan pizza baker (who we once saw talking lovingly to his dough and who once slid our heart-shaped pizza into the oven, safe to say we're in love). And at the Osteria across the street there is a sophisticated restaurant vibe with more pasta on the menu. Plus antipasti and dolci.

But then suddenly there were whispers about a third branch, in a side street of the Frederik Hendriklaan (practically on the Fred) in the Statenkwartier. Corona just threw a spanner in the works, so the original plan (more Vincenzo's as a caterer, as a real addition to the other two locations) had to make way for a different plan: focaccias. In the meantime, no problem!

Vincenzo's focaccia

Vincenzo's focaccia

So foccacia. You can now pick it up every day (attention home workers in The Hague!) between 11:00 AM and 15:00 PM at the new location. And what kind of focaccias. You probably didn't know, but the dough alone takes some time to rise 96 hour in batter, which gives the focaccias their strong taste and nice structure. But especially when it comes to toppings, we are seriously stressed about choosing: mortadella with artichoke cream and pistachio, or marinated chicken from The Hague poulterer. Ammerlaan (when you know, you know) with pumpkin ricotta. Or vitello tonnato or carpaccio, or caprese, or… or… Endless possibilities, just like Vincenzo's pizzas (for the connoisseurs: the spicy Vale 46 pizza is also available in a focaccia variant!). You can also pick up those pizzas at this location, but from 17:00 PM to 21:30 PM. And delivery is also possible (of course), just like this other one The Hague's catering heroes do in these strange times

If the corona time is finally over (fingers crossed as soon as possible) and Vincenzo's Statenkwartier take its true form, you will be the first to hear how here! 😉
